AMD's famous Opteron processors are being backed by several manufacturers, including Kingston, as the latter has just revealed the fact that it will launch new products which will benefit from Kingston's latest technology, the one that supports Next-Generation AMD Opteron, informs Hardware Zone.
The ValueRAM DDR2 ECC and Registered ECC memory modules combined with Next-Generation AMD Opteron processors are said to create a complete system. Moreover, the modules provide also speeds of up to667 MHz, higher data bandwidths, lower power consumption and enhanced thermal performance.
"This is a significant development for Kingston, combining cutting-edge memory technology with the latest in processor development," said Mark Tekunoff, senior technology manager, Kingston Technology Company. "Kingston's ValueRAM DDR2 ECC and Registered ECC memory technology combined with Next-Generation AMD Opteron processors offers the perfect solution for consumers demanding leading price-performance, reduced operational costs, and the best in processor and performance memory."
Kingston's ValueRAM DDR2 ECC and Registered ECC memory modules are already available for purchase in several configurations - the 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB, and 2 GB, each being able to work overtime for more than 24 hours on high-end computers. Furthermore, they come with a lifetime warranty and 24/7 technical support.
"Working closely with Kingston, AMD takes another step forward in addressing the demands for high-quality, high-performance memory technology among the growing server/workstation market," said Pat Patla, Director, Server/Workstation Marketing, AMD. "Next-Generation AMD Opteron processors with Direct Connect Architecture provide a consistent, thermally-efficient roadmap that is critical for serving new generations of compute-intensive users, without compromising performance."
