Immediately following the Spider platform official release, Kingston Technologies has announced the availability of their 1066MHz ValueRAM cards. The memory manufacturer has worked tightly with the AMD team to achieve top performance memory modules.

Computer memory is the only hardware component highly likely to create performance bottlenecks. The Spider platform, comprised of the quad-core processor line, the new 7-chipset series and the 3800 GPU delivers performance peaks even for hardcore computing such as gaming, high-definition television or mathematical and engineering applications.

Taking advantage of the new 128-bit wide memory controller designed to support memory speeds up to DDR2 1066, Kingston's ValueRAM modules fuels Phenom's four-cores and charges the overall platform performance. The memory is available in three capacity sets: 512MB (KVR1066D2N7/512), 1GB (KVR1066D2N7/1G) and 2GB (VR1066D2N7K2/2G) and use the standard 1.8-volt power supply in order to deliver clock latencies of 7-7-7-20.

"The new Phenom processor from AMD will give high-performance and multi-threaded applications room to excel", said Mark Tekunoff, senior technology manager, Kingston. "DDR2 1066MHz ValueRAM desktop memory has been designed and tested to complement AMD's new chipset and CPU technologies, giving high-end users the ultimate experience."

Kingston is the world's largest memory manufacturer for desktops, laptops, servers and printers and, at the same time, the first to introduce the lifetime warranty for their memory modules. Since July this year, the company has shifted their focus from the long-running DDR2 memory to the newer DDR3 HyperX series that run at 1375 MHz and provide twice the speed of the DDR2 standard in terms of an improved power management.

The Spider-ready memory has already hit the retailers' stores with prices between $89.00 for the 512MB module to $340.00 for the 2GB dual-kit version.
