14 DAY TRIAL // Kingston Technology, one of the world's leading vendors of high-performance memory and Flash-based storage solutions, has recently announced the debut of its new line of HyperX DDR3 memory kits, designed to provide customers with support for Intel's Core i7 and X58 platforms. The company introduced a new 1600MHz 24GB HyperX kit for high-end enthusiasts, while a new 1600MHz 16GB kit, with four 4GB modules, has been made available for users of Intel's latest P55 chipsets and Core i5 processors.
"We are pleased to make available the largest HyperX memory kits ever for the prosumers, multimedia pro or super enthusiast who wants everything," said Mark Tekunoff, senior technology manager, Kingston. "Users working with the latest operating systems like Windows 7 can keep multiple programs open, run memory intensive video or photo applications, or run numerous virtual machines using 24GB or 16GB of DDR3 HyperX memory and create more efficiency and performance gains than ever before."
According to the specifications of the new memory kits, Core i7, X58 platforms will benefit from up to 24GB of DDR3 memory, clocked at 1600MHz and made up of six 4GB modules, featuring latencies of CL 9-9-9-27, at 1.65V. The 16GB modules are pretty much the same, using only four of these modules and taking advantage of the dual-channel support, available for P55 platforms. Both the 16GB and 24GB memory kits have been optimized for Intel's XMP technology, thus ensuring the best performance on Intel-based computer systems.
The Fountain Valley, California-based memory vendor has also put up a video demonstration of the performance available when using a Core i7 computer system and its HyperX DDR3 24GB memory kits. If you take a quick look at the video below, you'll probably notice that the system was also running on the company's SSDs. Price wise, the 24GB kit is expected to retail for a MSRP of US$1,598, while the 16GB kit will be available for US$1,065.
