Kingston announced having started shipping its high-end ultra-low latency HyperX DDR3 gaming SO-DIMMs. The new memory modules have been designed especially for the owners of Centrino 2 laptops. The HyperX DDR3 kit includes two 2GB modules which carry the HyperX banner and are equipped with blue-painted aluminum heatspreaders that can work at 1066 MHz with 5-5-5-15 latencies.

The Kingston HyperX DDR3 1066MHz notebook memory modules have been developed so as to deliver high-performance and ultra-low latency values. They feature a new metal heatspreader that further helps promote thermal conduction for better performance. In other words, Kingston put all its efforts into offering a product able to fulfill the needs of any gaming enthusiast that owns a laptop based on Intel's Centrino 2 platform. As results from the specifications of the kits, they will provide both higher performance and better heat dissipation, while leveraging the user's experience to new heights.

“Computer makers are releasing more DDR3-based notebook computers into the marketplace and Kingston is pleased to be first to ship ultra-low latency SO-DIMMs to meet the increased performance these laptops can offer,” said Mark Tekunoff, senior technology manager, Kingston. “Our HyperX DDR3 notebook modules with metal heatspreaders represent new technology for gamers who want every competitive edge possible when pushing system performance.”

The new HyperX DDR3 SO-DIMMs announced by Kingston are included in the company's lineup of previously released HyperX DDR2 notebook modules in 800- and 667MHz frequencies. As known, the Kingston HyperX series is backed by a lifetime warranty and free 24/7 technical support. Kingston's fresh HyperX DDR3 4GB kit comes at a recommended price tag of $228. More information on both the maker and the availability of the memory modules, as well as on the entire HyperX series can be found on Kingston's site.
