In theory, as long as a memory module fits inside a motherboard slot, the BIOS can read and use the RAM, but there are still some pitfalls and errors that can appear from time to time. Some memory modules might not be compatible with certain mainboards because of that.

Kingston wants there to be no confusion as to which of its HyperX memory modules are supported by the motherboards based on Intel 9-Series chipset.

So the company has made a press release: its three product lines, FURY, Genesis and Predator, all have some dual-channel kits compatible with Intel fourth-generation Core i5 and i7 processors and Intel 9 series chipset.

HyperX, Kingston's sub-division under whose brand all the RAM is sold, has even worked directly with motherboard makers to ensure that. There are capacities of 8 GB to 32 GB.

The Fury, Genesis and Predator memory products are targeted at gamers, overclockers and enthusiasts, so you can expect some really high clocks, and overclocking headroom to boot.

After all, Kingston was thinking of even overclocking sessions involving LN2. Even if it's the CPU being put through its paces, most of the time, the RAM has to be pushed a bit above and beyond the norm as well.
