Kingston just announced the launch of a new random access memory module that is aimed at competing with the high-end offerings that are now available on the DDR3 market from well established and known companies like Corsair, Super Talent or OCZ. The new DDR3 memory modules from Kingston are compatible with mainboards centered around the high performance Intel X38 and P35 desktop chipsets.

As the DDR3 random access memory standard is offering high densities, Kingston launched both a single memory module and a dual channel memory kit and they work at a higher than standard frequency of 1625Mhz. The Kingston KHX13000D3LL/1G memory module is coming to market as a single 1GB module, while the other new product, the KHX13000D3LLK2/2G, is now available as a 2GB kit.

Both of the new Kingston memory products are certified to work at low latency timings of 7-7-7-20-1T, while using a power setting of 1.9V. The single memory module is coming with a price tag of $224, while the dual channel kit is sporting a higher price of $448.

Apart from the above mentioned two memory modules, Kingston also launched a higher end product line called HyperX that is certified to reach operating speeds of 1800Mhz while using latency timings of 8-8-8-24-1T and an above normal voltage of 1.9V. This high end product comes in two versions too, the KHX14400D3/1G that is priced at $227 while the dual channel enabled memory kit is available under the KHX14400D3K2/2G designation and it comes with a price tag of $453.

Like all high-end random access memory products from established companies, these offerings are coming backed up by a lifetime warranty and they may prove to be a viable alternative to OCZ made memories as they are offering similar levels of performance but at a lower price.
