The new memory modules offer higher speeds and lower latencies

Kingston Technology Company, Inc., a worldwide leading developer of memory products, announced today the release of a high-performance 2GB HyperX SO-DIMM, especially designed for the owners of netbook computing devices that are powered by Intel Atom processors. According to the company, the new parts are available for shipping immediately.

At the same time, the maker also states that the new SO-DIMM have been designed to provide important system performance increases given the fact that they use higher speeds and lower latencies in netbooks that are able to support 533MHz bus specifications. The new KHX4200S2LL/2G come in 2GB modules and work at a 533MHz and low latency (CL3-3-3-8). According to the maker, the MSRP for the United States is $35.

“A netbook or mobile internet device will automatically recognize the preset low latency value of the HyperX memory module and properly boot the mobile device to provide higher performance than standard memory,” said Mark Tekunoff, senior technology manager, Kingston. “Netbooks are growing in popularity and Kingston is pleased to present a HyperX module that makes these small mobile devices run faster.”

The new 2GB HyperX SO-DIMM is able to prove itself as the perfect choice for a wide range of netbooks, including the Asus Eee, MSI Wind and Gigabyte UMPC lines. In addition, the company also announced that its Kingston HyperX modules are backed by a lifetime warranty while users are offered free 24/7 technical support.
