They are water- and dust-proof, in addition to being very, very small

The COB (chip-on-board) technology is a method of designing flash drive units that makes said units much smaller than the usual ones.

The technique also renders the drive resistant to water and dust. Since the whole point is for the flash drive to be compact, there isn't much room for cracks, or removable parts.

As it happens, the newest Kingmax flash drives are of this type, and they even use KINGMAX Product in Package (PIP) technology on top of it, which further enhances hazard protection.

Add to that the 85 MB/s read speed permitted by USB 3.0 (max write speed of 22 MB/s) and you have a winning product easily.

It doesn't hurt that the flash drive shells are shiny, metallic even.

The range of products is pretty large, and it would take ages to detail each member. Go here to check them all out.
