The second video update from Czech developer Warhorse Studios details the extensive character customization options players will be able to make use of in their upcoming realistic role-playing game Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an ambitious single-player project that aims to deliver an immersive medieval experience with no high fantasy elements, or as the developers put it, "Dungeons & No Dragons."

The game will offer an open world sandbox, with an in-depth, period accurate melee combat system that will make use of real fighting techniques and not just reward the fastest thresher.

The latest Kingdom Come: Deliverance Kickstarter update details the character customization system the team built on top of Cryengine, allowing them to create hundreds of variations with just a few clicks.

Players will be able to layer clothing just like in real life, making full use of the 16 equippable clothing slots in the character screen. They will be able to place greaves on top of fancy pants, add plate on top of chain mail, with each type of armor offering different defensive bonuses against specific weapons.

For instance, chain mail will offer protection against swords and slicing weapons, while being vulnerable to arrows, plate will protect against arrows and most weapons, except for hammers and great axes.

Clothes will also get dirty over time, and blood will seep into shirts, players having to regularly wash their attire in order to look tip-top. Players will also be able to customize facial features and body shape, so if they want to portray a lazy slob, they can go ahead and make one in-game.

Players will be able to steal clothes from dead bodies, and every equippable slot can have a different size and color, making for countless variations and a lot of unique characters and personality.
