1C Company, as the publisher, and Katauri Interactive, as the developer, have announced that they have released the 1.3.1 patch for their game King's Bounty: Crossworlds, making the video game more stable and introducing some balancing changes.

You can get the patch from Softpedia and read more about the changes that are delivered in this release.

It seems that those who install the new patch will be able to continue the saved games they already have in most situations, although some users are reporting that they needed to start new games and lost their progress.

A quick look at the official game forums for King's Bounty: Crossworlds reveals that the game still has some issues with crashes, especially with Rune Mages, after the 1.3.1. patch is applied.

The developers at Katauri Interactive have worked through the holidays to deliver a hotfix which can be downloaded from this link.

Given that the complexity of current video games creates a lot of bugs and problems that are sometimes only discovered after launch, when a big number of players get access to content, it's nice to see a team which is so involved and works after launch to make the game the best it can be.

The patch also introduces more possibilities for those who are looking to mod the game experience to deliver new adventures and new challenges, but the developers are warning those who want to apply the 1.3.1 patch to first make a full install and make sure to eliminate all modded content that could affect their installation.

King's Bounty is a superb game, managing to combine light adventuring on an overland map, with troop recruitment and character interaction, with complex tactical battles in the mold of the Heroes of Might and Magic series.

The tactical engagement are the highlight of the game and Crossworlds makes them more enjoyable by delivering new troops types with new abilities and new spells that can be combined to create new strategies.
