The development team at Microsoft in charge of the Kinect motion tracking technology for the Xbox 360 wants to hire more engineers in order to take the system to the next level.

The job ad states, “A new team is forming in Microsoft’s entertainment division with a specific purpose: to push the envelope of today’s and tomorrow’s technology as we explore new ideas from the ground floor. It begins with veterans from Xbox 360, Xbox LIVE, and Kinect.”

The announcement also talks about risk and top-secret work and says that many ideas the team creates will not be accepted by the company for full development.

Presumably, the new incarnation of Kinect will be linked to the new Xbox 720 home consoles from Microsoft.

The device will be announced during the first half of 2013 and will be launched in time for Thanksgiving.
