Microsoft has slashed the price of its Kinect sensor in North and Latin America, reducing it to just $109.99 (around €87.71).

The Kinect made its debut back in 2010 and immediately impressed plenty of Xbox 360 owners who were intrigued about the fact that they could control the console with their gestures and voice.

Now, in order to further boost the popularity of the Kinect, Microsoft has introduced a discount for the device, permanently slashing its price to $109.99 in North and Latin America, as well as in Asia Pacific regions.

What’s more, according to the company, on October 4 a price cut for the Kinect will also be introduced in Australia and New Zealand.

Sadly, as of yet, Microsoft says that there are no price drop plans for territories like Europe, Middle East, Africa, or Japan.
