Or at least this is what the rumor mill is churning out these days

Rumors can be strange creatures, so if they can start saying, whenever they want, that technology has advanced enough to know what you do with this or that part of your body.

In this case, rumors say that Kinect 2 will know how to interpret what your mouth does.

At least, it will be able to carry out lip reading or something along those lines, so don;t fantasize about that too much.

Eurogamer is where the report originated, so you can start wondering just what Xbox game consoles will get to run in a few years.

Maybe an MMORPG where your in-game sprite will speak, in its own, gruesomely digitized voice, whatever words you form yourself, or perhaps you'll just be spared the hassle of actually clicking or typing a reply in your messenger (but we already have microphones for that).

Either way, lip-reading could be one of the things Kinect 2 ends up capable of, assuming this isn't just one of those rumors that end up shot down.

Pitch and volume of voices are, supposedly, also trackable with Kinect 2.

Now take all this and consider that Microsoft wants Kinect in all TVs, not just consoles. Opens a whole new channel for hackers to keep an eye on you.
