There sure have been many rumors lately regarding the new Kindle Fire HD 2. And with good reasons, seeing how the Kindle has now become more than your average e-book reader and started competing with most high-end tablets.

As far as rumors go, the Kindle Fire HD 2 will sport a quad-core processor, probably the Snapdragon 800, as well as an Adreno 330 graphics chip.

According to Techradar, the Kindle Fire HD2 will come with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 for the 7-inch model and 2560 x 1600 for the 8.9 inches Kindle.

With 2 GB of RAM and 16, 32 and 64GB variants, it might become a serious competitor for other soon-to-be-released tablets. How many of these rumors are true is still unknown, however.

All we can currently do is sit and wait for an official press release. Of course, even if they are all true, pricing will make the difference, in the end.
