14 DAY TRIAL // Kim Kardashian’s third marriage, to rapper Kanye West, definitely outlived her second, to NBA star Kris Humphries, but not by much. Things have been very bad between these two for a while, and the reality star has already met with a divorce attorney and is getting ready to file the papers, and thus be on her way to being a single woman again.
The straw that broke the camel’s back, according to insiders cited by Radar Online, was Kanye’s decision to dump Kim on Thanksgiving and head off to Paris to party with friends, instead of staying put with the family.
Kim and Nori spent the holiday with the family, but not with Kanye
Kim spent Thanksgiving with sister Khloe, who apparently cooked a lot of “yummy” food for the entire family. She also spent Thanksgiving on social media, posting photos of daughter North and how thankful she was for her “best friend.” No trace of Kanye anywhere.
Rumor online has it that he ditched his family to party with friends in Paris, the French capital he calls his second home.
Some voices claim that he didn’t want to be part of the Kardashian khaos (the Kardashians always go overboard when it comes to family traditions), but others say that he simply didn’t feel like staying at home with his wife and daughter, wanting to celebrate with pals, just like he would have if he had no obligations.
Obviously, that didn’t sit well with Kim, and after weeks of similar behavior and lots of thinking (on her part), she’s putting her foot down.
Kim sees divorce attorney, will go through with it
Kim has already met with a divorce attorney to talk about her options now that she wants out of the marriage. She will file the papers “soon,” the unnamed insiders claim, because she’s sick of being in a sham marriage.
Plus, Kanye’s gesture of leaving her at home with Nori while he went off partying infuriated her to no end. “[She was] mortified that she had to show up at Khloe’s [house] alone. It was the last straw for her. She’s getting ready to file divorce papers,” a tipster shares.
So this is the end for Kimye, aka Kim and Kanye, aka the “first couple of fashion,” as they like to call themselves. If you like keeping tabs, they were married in May this year, in a beautiful ceremony in Italy, at a bona fide castle.
If there’s a divorce, who gets the most money?
If online reports are anything to go by, Kim Kardashian will probably walk away from her marriage to Kanye a much richer woman than she was before they tied the knot. They have a prenup signed, and Kim gets a certain amount of cash for every year they spent married; even if they don’t make it to their 1-year anniversary, she would still cash in. She also gets considerable funds for raising North.
Then, Kim will get to keep all the presents she received from Kanye, including the 2 custom-made and hand-painted Birkin bags, diamonds, cars, and designer clothes. Rumor has it that Kanye made sure to include a clause in the prenup that basically gave Kim a line of credit with him in the eventuality of a divorce.
That’s not to say that the split will happen soon, though. If you know anything about celebrity gossip, you probably know that rumors of this kind have been making the rounds for months, emerging only days after the wedding. Chances are nothing will come out of them this time either.
