Rod Stewart's 26-year-old daughter, Kimberly Stewart, is to wed MTV star Talan Torriero, after dating him for just two weeks (some say four). The two are already engaged and plan to marry next year.

Torriero, 19, is the star of high school reality TV show "Laguna Beach".

To prove the engagement, Kimberly showed a 5-carat diamond ring to friends and sisters Paris and Nicky Hilton on Wednesday evening, at a Los Angeles party for Microsoft's Xbox.

She told US Weekly: "We're getting married. The ring is almost too big. It's beautiful".

Kimberly had broken up with her boyfriend Joe Francis last month. The reasons for the split were that Joe allegedly upset Paris Hilton - Kimberly's best friend, by inviting her to his island home only to smooth the way for paparazzi, who took photos of Hilton and her new boyfriend at the time.

Kimberly's spokesman, Elliot Minz, has dismissed the rumors though, denying she had accused Joe Francis of being involved in the paparazzi pictures.
