Kimberly Stewart and Talan Torriero are no longer engaged. It took Kimberly 11 days to realize it was "too soon" to make such a serious commitment.
Daddy's girl (that is Rod Stewart's girl) and reality TV star Torriero have announced their plans to wed on November 15, and became engaged on November 16.
To prove the engagement, Kimberly showed a 5-carat diamond ring to friends and sisters Paris and Nicky Hilton at a Los Angeles party for Microsoft's Xbox.
She had told US Weekly: "We're getting married. The ring is almost too big. It's beautiful".
The second day, Torriero was telling reporters:
"I'm absolutely in love... I'm at a loss of words. Not like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes jumping on tables, but I can honestly say I've never been happier."
What caused the change of mind is not revealed yet, but the couple's reps have declared:
"It was just too soon to enter into a lifelong commitment.
It is better to have a brief engagement than a short marriage. The couple continues to share their time together and remain open to whatever the future may hold."
