A former elementary school teacher from Oklahoma has been convicted for exploitation and filming and distributing explicit photos of her female students.

Kimberly Crain has pleaded guilty on 31 counts after having several girls under the age of eleven strip and pose provocatively for her online boyfriend and former Oklahoma Baptist University professor Gary Doby.

Crain was Doby's student during her time at the school, and claimed that the man who the victims referred to as “Uncle G” manipulated her into making the girls chat with him, get undressed and dance in front of a web cam.

One student has also described being asked to attend a party along with other students and having her teacher suggest that they undress to lingerie.

Crain's confession having been issued in a bid to escape a life sentence, she was awarded 45 years in prison. Her 67-year-old accomplice is serving a life sentence after also pleading guilty in January 2012.

The Inquisitr writes that the 50-year-old teacher is legally obligated to serve 85 percent of said sentence, which amounts to her spending 37 years behind bars before being up for parole, at 87 years old.

In her guilty plea included in a letter to Pottawatomie County District Court and conveyed by Daily Mail, she mentions her relationship to Doby as her main motivation.

“I found myself giving in to all he wanted. Gary briefly spoke of his fascinations with young girls. [...] He said it made him smile and feel good, so I wanted to continue to keep him happy,” she writes.

She also cites high cholesterol levels, anxiety and depression brought on by menopausal hormone changes and a less than affectionate husband among her reasons for going through with the abuse.
