You know all about Kim Kardashian and her now famous sex tape. In case there still are some who don't know what I'm getting at, here's the sort version story: Kim is Paris Hilton's best friend; three years ago, she was dating Ray J, Brandy's brother, and together they made a sex tape; word about it got out a couple of weeks ago, but Kim denied it existed; later, she said that the tape is real but claimed that it would never be made public; the tape has already been purchased by Vivid Video and is now set to be released on DVD on February 28.
Although the film was bought for an estimated $1 million, Vivid Video will probably face some troubles in marketing it. Because it was sold by an 'unnamed third party', the question of whether the sale was legal or not is still pending. Vivid Video claims it was, but a judge might rule differently, if the matter goes to court as Kim intends.
'We are comfortable that we have the legal right to distribute this video . . . I've seen the video and it's really great. It has over 30 minutes of explicit sex that fans of erotica will find very appealing . . . Apparently, the video was shot by Ray J about three years ago when he and Kim were in a relationship. Viewers will definitely get their money's worth.', Steven Hirsch, co-chairman of Vivid Video said in a press statement, immediately after the buy was finalized.
When various media outlets contacted Kim Kardashian's publicist for a comment on this, he was so surprised about the leak that he could hardly control himself. 'Are you f**king me?', he told reporters over the phone. After he realized exactly what he was dealing with, he stated that Kim and her lawyers would look into the whole situation and then decided what they could do to stop the tape from going public.
'Everyone is pretty disappointed and very confused as to what's going on and who's behind this', Kim told E! News today. 'We're just going to get to the bottom of this and do whatever we have to do to stop it.', she added, also saying that Ray couldn't possibly be the one responsible for the leak, since they are still friends and he would not do such a disgraceful thing to her.
The trailer for the 'Kim Kardashian Superstar' was posted on a brand new website, dedicated to the newly discovered 'porn star'. I'd say enjoy it while it lasts because chances are it won't take long until Kim's team of expert lawyers pull it down.
