Kim Kardashian is getting married to Kris Humphries on August 20. However, since us mortals are not invited to the wedding, the bride slash reality star will allow cameras at the ceremony. The event will air in a 4-hour wedding special on E!.

The network is often the one “blamed” for the sudden and unprecedented rise to fame of the Kardashians, because it reached out to them and offered them a reality show after the infamous home-made tape that made Kim a household name.

Several spinoffs later and a business empire that makes many millions a year in profit, E! is bringing audiences the biggest Kardashian event ever: Kim’s wedding.

As the announcement (in the attached photo) reads, the two-part 4-hour special will air in October and will offer fans a look inside the glamorous life of the industry’s most popular family.

“Kim’s fairytale wedding: a Kardashian event,” reads the save the date sent out to various media outlets, announcing the 4-hour television special.

“E! presents the exclusive two-parte television event that goes inside the glitz, glamour and romance of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ wedding extravaganza,” the announcement further reads.

“Follow the bride, groom and entire Kardashian clan every step of the way, from the lavish wedding planning to the fabulous parties to the highly anticipated big day when Kim and Kris say ‘I do’,” E! says.

“Mark your calendar for this special celebration of Kardashian proportions. Sunday, October 9 at 8:00pm and Monday, October 10 at 9:00pm,” the network further says.

Judging by previous reports that Kim aimed to outdo Kate Middleton and Prince William’s wedding of earlier this year, fans can surely expect a ceremony like few others before.

This week’s issue of OK! Magazine also brings more details on the Kardashian wedding, also dubbed the “wedding of the year” by some US glossies, including countless photos from her bachelorette party – just in case you can’t wait until October, when the TV special airs.
