Number one on the list comes finding a good tailor: since we’re talking curves here, that means many outfits may not fit off the rack, which means a good tailor to make them just perfect is a necessity.
“Anything you wear should be proportioned to your body, and a good tailor will make sure everything fits perfectly. Shortening a hem line on a dress can make a huge difference!” Kim says for the aforementioned women’s e-zine.
Girls and women with a bigger bust and large hips must always look to accentuate their waist, Kim urges. By putting on a belt or a scarf tied as a belt, the waist stands out, which balances out the chest and the hips.
Curvy also means being prohibited from wearing oversized tops and dresses. The only thing that they can wear and which would loosely qualify as “oversized” are maxi dresses, the star explains.
“I know they are comfortable and they look amazing on Nicole Richie but flowy tops and dresses are not flattering on a curvy figure. They can make you look pregnant and they look sloppy in photos,” she adds.
Shapewear is also a must for curvy girls, especially if they’re planning on wearing a body-hugging, tight dress or outfit.
