Kim Kardashian has vowed to get in the best shape for the wedding to Kris Humphries, but she’s not willing to do so by sacrificing her health or her principles. In a new interview for Health & Fitness magazine, the reality star elaborates on her workout routine.

Though constantly very busy, Kim does enjoy a good workout regularly. Nevertheless, she doesn’t exercise because she wants to shed her famous curves, but rather to maintain them.

It may sound weird, but this is one reality star who doesn’t want to be stick thin. Her only goal is to tone up and, at the same time, maintain her enviable hourglass figure.

“I’ve never aspired to be a size zero. Dress sizes are just a number. I love the curvy look, and I especially love my [backside]. I do squats and lunges to accentuate it,” she says.

Of course, that’s no guarantee that she’ll always be in a mood to break a sweat, but Kim has also found a method to keep herself motivated whenever need be.

“When I can’t be bothered I just think Beyonce, Beyonce, Beyonce! I think her curves are beautiful,” the reality star admits for the aforementioned publication.

She also counts on celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson to keep her on track, with a lively routine meant to burn fat, tone muscle and prevent her from getting bored, which she does 2 to 4 times a week.

“It can be hard with all the travelling to keep my workouts consistent. When I can’t make it to the gym, I’ll do lunges and abdominal exercises in my room,” Kim says.

In the same interview, Peterson reveals that the secret to Kim’s routine is to focus on toning up. Working to make her thin would be “unrealistic,” so they’re not even trying.

“The thing I love about Kim is she’s very aware of her curves and realistic with her goals. There’s no point in her trying to get wafer thin – that would be unrealistic – so instead we make sure the curves stay in the right place and are nice and tight,” he says.

Of course, Kim is also very careful about what she eats, though not to the point of going overboard with the restrictions: she loves salads with chicken or tuna, and turkey burgers, but “without the bun.”
