As announced a few days ago, Kim Kardashian is opening up about her divorce from Kris Humphries in front of the camera. She just did an interview with Australian morning news show Sunrise – and you can see the entire video below.

Shortly after the Halloween holiday, Kim announced she'd filed for divorce. Her marriage to Kris, which had been fully documented on film for her reality show, lasted an impressive 72 days.

The minute after she made the announcement, Kim, sister Khloe and her husband Lamar flew to Australia, where the two sisters are promoting a new Kardashian handbag line.

It's in the context of promoting it that Kim is speaking about the divorce.

Asked how much she'd tried to save the marriage or whether she went to counseling for help, Kim (apparently tearing up) says that her divorce is all down to “intuition.”

She says that, when you know deep down in your heart that this is the thing to do and path to take, “there is no right or wrong.”

In the same interview, Kim also talks about the things people are saying about her and the divorce, namely how she staged the marriage to boost ratings and make a lot of money.

Of course, none of that is true, she insists, and it's hurtful that she has to say that out loud, that she has to defend herself – but, at the same time, she understands why people would be prone to assume that.

When she's pushed for more details of what exactly went wrong with the 72-day marriage, Kim backs out, saying she's down in Australia to promote her latest accessories line and not go into the details of her personal life.

She says the same in another Australian interview, this time for the Kyle and Jackie O radio program, as the second video embedded at the end of the article will confirm.

“I would never marry for a TV show, for money, for anything like that, and I think that's really ridiculous that I have to even, you know, kind of defend that but, you know,” she adds.

Check out the two clips below to hear (and see) Kim explain her decision to divorce and shoot down rumors the marriage was a sham.
