The ceremony is going to take place at the Chateau Louis XIV, just outside Paris

Ladies and gentlemen, the day that Kim and Kanye become officially man and wife is almost upon us. In preparation for that joyous occasion, the happy couple is making the final arrangements. Unfortunately, since they're bent on having a French wedding, that means that they must travel to France to sort things out.

We say unfortunately, but it's probably not that big of a hassle for either of them, since they probably see it as a vacation. E! is reporting that the famous duo was spotted in Paris over the weekend and it's very likely that they were searching for a wedding venue.

It has become common knowledge that the couple had in mind a wedding at the Versailles Palace, but the French authorities had a different plan and promptly denied them such an opportunity. Now, Kim and Kanye are said to have turned their attention to something else.

The place that they were spotted visiting and that's likely also the place where the nuptials are going to be held is the Chateau Louis XIV, which is located just outside of Paris. The palace is said to be a reconstruction of a 17th century building.

There are some similarities between this palace and the Versailles, like a reproduction of the famous Chariot of Apollo fountain sculpture, as well as some impressive gardens that resemble those found at the former royal palace.

Interestingly, the property was developed by Emad Jhashoggi, the nephew of the Saudi Arabian businessman Adnan Khashoggi for the “measly” sum of $200 million (€14.4 million). The palace was built from scratch and designed by a French architect, and therefore is considered state of the art, with the most modern security system that also includes a moat.

This should be perfect for Kim and Kanye, who wanted a very private affair even confiscating mobile phones from guests in fear that a video might leak in the internet. As you may or may not know, they have already sold the rights to E! who is paying the bill on the wedding in return.

No word on whether the wedding will be actually going on as planned since there was a scandal a while back when it was revealed that local laws require a minimum 40 days of residency in country for at least one of the members in order for the ceremony to be performed in France.

It was speculated that Kanye was the one who took it upon himself to move to France and live there for a month after he canceled his Australian tour “to work on his new album.”
