14 DAY TRIAL // In recent months, when she wasn’t talking about how bad she felt when she was “bullied” for gaining weight while pregnant with North West, her and Kanye West’s first child, Kim Kardashian gushed about wanting to have another baby. That dream has been crushed now, a new report informs.
Kim and her husband have been seeing several fertility doctors as of late, and all of them have told them that conceiving a second child is nearly impossible, sources close to the couple reveal to TMZ. The two are said to be crushed by the news.
They’ve been trying for 9 months
“Nothing has worked” for Kim and Kanye in terms of getting pregnant for the second time, even though they have been trying for the past 9 months. Kim has always said that she wanted a large family and that she and Kanye would love to give Nori a little sister or brother as soon as possible.
They now have to accept that Nori could be an only child, especially after fertility doctors have told her that, based on what they’ve seen so far, a second child “is a long shot.”
Apparently, Nori too was a “miracle baby,” in the sense that doctors had told Kim she couldn’t get pregnant. She and Kanye thought that, since they were able to defy the odds once, conceiving again might be easier the second time.
“Kim is trying to reduce her stress and cut down on traveling, per doctor’s advice,” the report notes. Kanye is doing his best to be supportive of her, so he accompanies her to all the monthly doctor visits.
Kim is ready for another baby
Earlier this year, Kim teamed up with a little-known-until-then publication, Paper Magazine, for a shoot that came with the self-imposed assignment to #BreakTheInternet, which saw her showing off her body like she hadn’t in a very long time.
Kim would later admit that she was confident in her body again and that she believed she was in the best shape she’d been since she gave birth to Nori. She also explained that she wanted to do this before she became pregnant again and started gaining weight, a sort of last hurrah before another baby came.
So, yes, Kim really wanted another child: the news that she might not have another must be devastating for her, but for the time being, she’s keeping this close to the vest because she hasn’t said anything about it on social media just yet.
This is unusual to an extent for a Kardashian, but chances are she will discuss her fertility struggles on an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, just like sister Khloe also did.
