14 DAY TRIAL // Seeing how Kim Kardashian can’t go a day without posting stuff about herself on social media and husband Kanye West is the exact opposite of that, one does wonder how he feels about this overexposure, especially where he’s concerned.
The rapper / fashion designer / inventor of leather leggings / ultimate Renaissance man turned 37 the other day and, true to her nature, Kim made a spectacle of it online, on her social media accounts.
First off, she showed off the birthday cake she had ordered for him, which was of a rectangular shape and had the writing “Yeezus” on it. Yeezus is a pun on Yeezy, Kanye’s stage name, and Jesus. At least we know that Kim will always be there for him to boost his ego when he’s not feeling like it.
The curvaceous reality star doesn’t say what the cake is made of but, even in black and white and with the major icing made of ego!, it still looks delicious.
Kim’s next tweet was a beautiful birthday message to Kanye, attached to a photo of the two kissing. The shot was actually from their wedding, from the photo booth in which they welcomed guests at the reception at their Italian nuptials. It shows them kissing on the lips.
“Happy Birthday to my husband and best friend in the entire world! You have changed my life in more ways than you know! The way you look at life inspires me! I love you so much!!!” Kim gushes.
She’s not the only one who loves him, though. Never once to miss a chance to draw attention onto herself, Kanye’s mother-in-law / the Kardashian momager Kris Jenner also went public with her birthday wishes.
“Happy Birthday to my new son #KanyeWest!!!! Have an amazing day I love you.....thank you for being such an inspiration. #family #love,” she wrote.
For some reason, saying these things in person just isn’t enough these days. The Kardashians, who have made a fortune off their private life, know that nothing happens for them if it’s not on social media, so what better way to celebrate Kanye’s birthday?
Luckily for them, the feeling is mutual. Kanye has spoken very highly of his wife before, but, at their wedding, he held a very long speech in which he described her and her entire family with phrases like “the most amazing people of our time.” He also said that he and they were warriors in the never-ending battle against the media, and proclaimed his belief they would come out winners from it.
They’re already winning big time, if only from a financial point of view.
Whether we like it or not, the Kardashians and Kanye are here to stay. So, in honor of the man who made possible some of the most hilarious memes of all time and who delivered some of the most ridiculous and utterly awesome quotes on a variety of topics, let’s all wish a happy birthday to Kanye West.
