Kim Kardashian made a very swift transition from socialite / Paris Hilton's BFF to reality star and businesswoman who can easily compete with Paris, so it should probably come as no surprise that she's also thinking of going into politics.

During the most recent episode of “Khloe & Lamar,” her sister Khloe's reality show, Kim drops some serious hints about her plans for the future, as the video here shows.

Those who think she'll still be doing reality shows in five years' time are dead wrong, the curvaceous star reveals, because she has big plans of going into politics.

She's thinking of running for the mayor of Glendale, and she's already thought through some important details, like who's going to be in charge of her campaign.

“I decided I'm going to run for the mayor of Glendale. So you have to have full residency in Glendale... So for real, Noelle's going to head my campaign, but it's going to be in like 5 years,” Kim tells her sister.

“So I have to buy a house there. You have to buy a house there. Noelle and I are looking into the requirements and I'm literally going to have a huge...” the star adds.

“She's going to help me with my campaign. Cause it's like Armeniantown. But I need to wait like 5 years,” she continues.

Several city counselors from Glendale have already spoken out on the issue, telling the LA Times that a mayor isn't elected, but appointed by the counselor.

Even so, many would support Kim because they believe “she would make an excellent mayor,” even though her critics lament the possibility of the Kardashians literally taking over everything.

Since her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries came to an abrupt end, sparking speculation of a PR stunt meant to boost ratings for her reality show, Kim's popularity took a serious hit, with many accusing her of being capable of anything to stay relevant in the press.

Her statement of considering going into politics is also being interpreted in this light: she's just trying to get people talking about her. If so, mission accomplished.
