14 DAY TRIAL // Kim Kardashian might be financially well off, but that doesn't mean that daughter North is going to be a spoiled child, at least, according to her. The reality star has promised in a recent interview that she isn't going to indulge her daughter with everything she wants and that she is going to make her work.
Talking to the London Evening Standard, Kim recalls how she was raised in the same spirit, having to work when she was younger if she ever wanted to buy something for herself.
Kim herself recalls how she would save up for things she wanted when she was little
“I saved up for this Dolce & Gabbana dress I really wanted, or like in high school these Prada shoes that my parents wouldn’t buy me. We didn’t get anything [from my parents], we had to get a job if we wanted it. So I was working in a clothing store and I would save and save,” Kim recalls.
She goes on to say that she surprised her friends one day by wondering out loud what kind of job North was going to have. Wide-eyed and slack-jawed, the friends allegedly asked “What? She’s gonna have a job?” And her response was “Are you kidding me? Of course she is.”
Dotting mother Kim hopes North is going to get into fashion
Secretly, Kim hopes that North is going to get involved into fashion, since she already likes clothes so much, “She loves fashion. Maybe she’ll be a designer. Who knows? It’s too early to tell.”
The thing is that we want to believe Kim, we really do, because spoiled kids are probably the worst thing you can have when you're a parent. But for Kardashian it's easy to appear modern and level-headed when no one is challenging her statements.
North is already spoiled rotten, so why would she ever work?
Let's not forget that North has attracted a lot of attention lately as one of the most spoiled children in Hollywood today. Though still an infant, North already has wardrobes full of designer clothes, so many in fact, that she hasn't even wore most of them.
Also, her father Kanye West has recently commissioned a set of very expensive diamond earrings and plans to soon gift her with a diamond ring, said to be worth several hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Add to that the nanny, the bodyguards, the make-up crew on call and the fact that she even has a decoy walking around to divert attention, and immediately understand that North already has more than she could ever want so there's really no need for her to work.
