Star gets everybody talking, tweets clarification later: they’re clip-ons

Love her or hate her, Kim Kardashian is popular. In fact, she’s so popular that she even makes headlines when she makes the smallest alteration to her now-trademark hairdo – like the other day, when she got bangs.

It all started with a tweet from the socialite, which also included a link to an Instagram photo showing her with bangs.

“Fun shoot today @chrismcmillan He just can't control his scissor hands! #bangs,” the star wrote to her nearly 17 million fans and followers.

Indeed, the photo shows her with slightly shorter hair, a different color (she’s gone for hazelnut highlights) and bangs.

Hours after the tweet, Kim was spotted at the airport rocking the same ‘do, which immediately sent glossies and celebrity blogs in a frenzy.

In response to the madness she helped create herself, Kim has taken to Twitter once more to set the record straight: she did not get bangs, they’re clip-ons.

“I saw a few of you tweeting me about my bangs!! The bangs are fake! Just clip ons! I had a fun Cosmo cover shoot yesterday and Chris McMillan clipped these on!” she writes in “The Truth About Bangs.”

Just as well, some of her followers write back: she looked better without them.

When she’s not making the news for her (fake) bangs, Kim Kardashian is keeping very busy with her reality show and her business and, as fans must know, with her beau, rapper Kanye West.

Recent reports claim that Kanye is losing credibility in the music and fashion world because of his association to Kim, to the point where insiders talk about his personal life overshadowing his career.

His music is no longer selling and he’s only getting offers for shows if he can bring Kim along, spies whisper, as we also reported the other day.

Unofficially, Kanye is in crisis mode to get back into the spotlight for being a talented rapper and not just for being Kim’s boyfriend.
