Kim Kardashian is a self-styled fashionista and, as such, she must put a lot of effort into looking good at all times. Aside from the effort, the socialite also invests a lot of money into her style – about $100,000 at once. Paris Hilton’s former BFF now turned very successful reality star and designer was in Paris just recently, soaking up history and culture at museums – and doing some fancy shopping.
Kim and her mom, Kris Jenner, went to the famous Hermes store in Paris and left with no less than 7 new signature handbags, all ranking to a $100,000 bill,
TMZ informs.
“Kim Kardashian and her mom spent over $100,000 on handbags in Paris yesterday – and no, they didn’t buy a truckload of ‘em... they bought seven,” TMZ writes.
“It all went down in the notoriously expensive Hermes store – where we’re told Kim and her mother Kris purchased six of the label’s exclusive Birkin bags... valued at around $10,000 apiece,” the same media outlet writes.
These bags are so exclusive that, as we also
informed you on a previous occasion, waiting lists for the “mainstream” versions go back for as much as 3 whole years.
However, Kim didn’t settle just for the regular version of the prized totes and also decided to buy for herself one made of crocodile skin, costing thrice as much as the others.
“But here’s the kicker – sources close to the reality star tell TMZ, Kim also bought herself an extremely rare crocodile-skin bag from the upscale French boutique... worth around $30,000,” TMZ says.
“Overall, the Kardashians easily surpassed the $100k mark. What recession?!” the paparazzi agency / celebrity gossip website asks.
Even with that, the queen of Birkin bags remains Victoria Beckham, who is reported to be the owner of one such collection
estimated at £1.5 million.
Posh reportedly owns 100 Birkin bags, in various colors and materials. Assuming she paid for all of them – which she probably didn’t – she would have taken out of pocket £1.5 million for all of them.
Aside from the “plainer” versions of the Birkin bag, Victoria is also the owner of one made of white crocodile leather, with a three-carat diamond on the lock and smaller ones on the framing belt, for which husband David paid
no less than £80,000.
There are only 3 such bags in the world, and David had to fly to Milan to get one for Victoria.
