14 DAY TRIAL // When you're making millions off your reality shows, endorsement deals and fashion empire, it's probably no big thing to cover a baby in diamonds – which is precisely what Kim Kardashian is doing to Beyonce and Jay-Z's daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
The Enquirer claims in its latest print issue (story via CB) that Kim is literally showering Blue Ivy in diamonds, all with the hope that, in doing so, she might be able to win over Beyonce and Jay-Z, but especially the former.
Ever since she started dating rapper Kanye West, who is good friends with Jay, there has been a lot of talk about how Beyonce might regard this new romance, especially since Kim does have a reputation for being more attention seeking than the A-list couple.
According to the tab, Kim has already bought Blue Ivy a diamond baby bracelet worth a whopping $5,000 (€4,073.9) on which she had engraved “Love Auntie Kim.”
Beyonce appreciated neither the present nor the engraving, says a well-placed spy.
“They have been friends for five minutes, but already Kim is trying to force herself into Beyonce's life,” the source explains.
Initially, Beyonce saw the gift as a very nice gesture but the instant she saw the engraving, she started asking herself questions about Kim's motives.
“She thought it was over the top, considering she's known Kim personally for such a short time. Despite Kim's tape and bad marriages, Beyonce had been warming to her based on her charming demeanor and romance with Kanye, who's a good friend,” another spy is quoted as saying.
“But she certainly doesn't consider Kim family in any way, shape or form. And for Kim to suggest that closeness in a present for Blue Ivy really put Beyonce off,” the insider goes on to explain.
Right now, things are tense and awkward between the two – and Beyonce is peeved that she'll have to spend even more time with Kim as they will travel with Jay and Kanye on their Watch the Throne tour.
“She believes Kim is trying to buy her friendship through her daughter, and she's cooling to their friendship. Right now, Beyonce is on her guard. She's keeping her distance until she feels more trusting of Kim,” notes the insider.
As we also informed you a short while ago, after photos of Kim and Beyonce partying together emerged online, the latter became the target of online abuse for associating with the reality star, whose first claim to fame was her friendship to Paris Hilton – and a certain homemade tape that saw her exposed just like Paris.
