14 DAY TRIAL // As if constant reports about the (allegedly deplorable) state of her marriage weren't enough, here comes a new scandalous one: Kim Kardashian “shopped around” for a basketball husband and Kris Humphries wasn't her first choice.
Kim's people and the staff on E!, which produces her reality show, were determined to have her date an athlete for the show, Radar Online reports.
In fact, they wanted her to be with a baller so badly that they actually called up some managers in the hope they could set her up with their clients.
Admittedly, Humphries wasn't the first choice.
“Before the brunette beauty met her new husband, Kim was so eager to date a basketball player that E! were calling around teams to matchmake with NBA athletes,” Radar writes, citing other online reports.
“E! Television staff contacted the New York Knicks to ask if hunky Italian basketball star Danilo Gallinari would be interested in dating Kim,” the e-zine further says.
Sources confirm that Gallinari was approached and offered the “job” of pretending to date Kim for her reality show, in an episode that would open a new season. He turned it down.
“They asked if he would be interested in dating her and being on a reality show. Danilo said he would love to meet Kim but was not interested in dating her or being on a reality show,” the spy says.
“Even though E! explained it would be great for his career, Gallinari turned the offer down,” the insider further says.
This is not the first time that allegations are printed about how the Kardashian – Humphries union is a convenience once.
It is, however, a first in terms of naming someone else who might have played an instrumental part in the making of it, such is the case with Gallinari.
Neither Kim nor her husband wanted to comment on the latest allegations.
