She didn’t do it for the money or the fame, she did it for the fans

Kim Kardashian invited camera crews into her wedding with Kris Humphries earlier this year, and the entire thing will air on E! in a 4-hour special. She didn’t do it for the money, she says, but for the fans.

It would be easy to assume Kardashian used her wedding to capitalize on it, just like she does with every aspect of her life as well.

It wouldn’t be right, though, she tells the Australian issue of InStyle in a brand new interview. She only did for her fans, who had a right to see the ceremony.

Moreover, the decision to film the entire thing was not an easy one, the reality star underlines.

“We took weeks to decide if we were going to film [the wedding] or not, but I felt like my fans – everyone that has gone on this journey with me, seeing different relationships that I’ve been in – would feel cheated if I didn’t film it,” Kim says of the reason she agreed to do the wedding special.

“It was something that Kris and I were okay with, and the beauty of it is we get to edit it. It [will be] great to look back at that and see this time in our lives,” she adds.

So, Kim seems to say, speculation that she only did it for fame and money (word has it she didn’t pay for a single thing because they were all endorsements; plus, she also made a fortune off it) is completely off base.

In the same interview, the socialite slash television star slash businesswoman also talks about her show, how much she loves to work and how said show has changed family life for her.

As for that last part, she claims it’s only brought them closer because it’s an occasion to hang out and spend time together – much unlike what happens with other families who agree to have a reality show made of their life.

“I am a workaholic; I love to be busy all the time. I love hearing what the people out there – fans, everyone – are into, and finding a way to give them whatever they’re looking for, whether it’s fashion or my perfumes,” Kim also says.

“I take everything I love, figure out a way to make something unique, and put it out there,” she adds of her work ethic.
