14 DAY TRIAL // When it comes to family, Kim Kardashian can really hold a grudge. As her brother Rob Kardashian is going through the most difficult period of his life, struggling with weight issues and a reported addiction to drugs, Kim blames singer Rita Ora for everything, because she broke his heart back in 2012.
Rob and Rita dated from summer 2012 to December of that same year, when he took to Twitter to accuse her of cheating on him and sleeping around with at least “20 dudes” when they were still together, to get her pop career off the ground in the US.
The breakup was far from an amicable one, whether she really did cheat on him or not. Rob deleted his initial tweets but returned with even more in a matter of days, and this time, they were even more vile.
If you choose to believe him, then Rita was a horrible woman to date and fall in love with, which is what Rob did. It was at that point that he started gaining weight because he sought solace for his broken heart in comfort food, until he developed a real problem.
Things are so bad with him that, as we speak, he hasn’t been seen in public for months and is believed to spend his days holed up in his house, smoking pot and drinking sizzurp, self-medicating and gorging on junk food.
Apparently, Kim too believes that had it not been for Rita, Rob would still be his usual fun-loving, happy and thinner self. She is so convinced of this that she is doing her best to avoid interacting with her in any way, which would have happened if she’d agreed to the initial seating plan MTV producers came up with for the Video Music Awards 2014, which took place the weekend before last.
“We're told Kim arrived at the awards show and discovered her seat was just a couple away from Ora's,” TMZ reports. It even has a photo confirming that, indeed, Rita would have been at an arm’s length from Kim at the gala. The reality star considered the distance too close for comfort.
“Not wanting any drama... she asked producers to find her a different seat. We're told she wasn't a diva, she just didn't want to have to be social with Rita,” the celebrity publication says, adding that Kim is not past blaming Rita for messing with Rob’s head and turning his life upside down.
Eventually, Kim was moved to another area of the venue and all drama was avoided.
