Kim Kardashian has spoken about her acting dreams on more than just a couple of occasions and it seems like the day has finally come: she has just landed a role in Tyler Perry’s upcoming film, it has been confirmed.

After some talk about how the curvalicious star was about to make her acting debut in the much talked about and long delayed Gotti biopic, it seems that Kim is now getting just a legitimate chance.

Deadline reports she’s been attached to star in Perry’s “The Marriage Counselor,” based on his own play by the same name.

By the sound of it, she’s getting a pretty good part too – so it’s not like she’s just doing a cameo, she can actually kickstart an acting career on it.

“In what amounts to her most substantial acting role so far, Kim Kardashian has signed on to costar in The Marriage Counselor, the Lionsgate film Tyler Perry will next direct, based on his stage play,” Deadline informs.

Shooting for the film starts in two days’ time, on October 26 in Atlanta but, as of now, no word whether Kim will have to be on set from the get-go.

“The film tells the story of Judith, an Ivy League-educated relationship expert who makes her living dispensing marital advice, but is so bored with her own marriage that she breaks her professional code and cheats with a smooth talking client only to realize she has made a huge mistake,” the aforementioned movie-oriented e-zine says of the synopsis.

“Jurnee Smollett plays the marriage counselor and Kardashian will play Ava, a co-worker who gives Judith a big city makeover and new confidence as she struggles with her personal issues,” Deadline notes.

Kim is mostly known for her family reality show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and its many spinoffs, but also for her fashion and accessories lines.

In film, she’s had roles in “Deep in the Valley” and “Disaster Movie,” but this upcoming one will definitely mark a step forward in her showbiz career.
