Because she lives her life in the public eye, Kim Kardashian’s weight, especially now that she’s pregnant with her first child, is tabloid fodder. As far as she’s concerned, as long as she’s happy and healthy, Kim is OK with a few extra pounds on her curvy figure.

Only days before she broke the news to her fans, Kim sat down for an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine talking, among other things, about morning sickness, excess weight and considering the option to ditch high heels.

Radar Online has more excerpts from the interview, with one quote in particular revealing that Kim, who is now working with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson to keep her weight in check, is well aware that she will “carry big.”

“I’ll definitely be up there,” she smiles when asked whether she can estimate how many pounds she’s going to gain while pregnant.

On the other hand, as long as she’s healthy and happy, how much weight she gains doesn’t even matter. So far, so good, Kim says.

“I feel good. Nothing’s slowed me down,” she explains.

“I’ve always said that I wanted kids, but I don’t think I ever would have been ready until now,” she muses.

Perhaps what she lacked was the right partner. Though she’s still married to Kris Humphries, Kim has been dating rapper Kanye West for a while, but they were good friends before that.

“I’m trying to prep myself for when I’m extremely pregnant, so I wore a wedge sneaker,” Kim says of having to consider ditching high heels. “I didn’t feel it; I’m not gonna lie. I can’t. But I’m trying.”

In the same interview, Kim talks about how judgmental she was of Kourtney when she told her she was having a baby without being married, how she thought she couldn’t have it all in a relationship until she met Kanye and, again, how Kanye has taught her to be more private.
