Kim Kardashian Keeps Wedding Gifts, Donates Money to Charity

After months of deliberations, Kim Kardashian has finally decided what to do with the wedding gifts she got before she tied the knot with Kris Humphries, only to divorce him 72 days later: she's keeping all of them.

Kim and Kris were married in August last year, in a ceremony that is believed to have made them incredibly rich(er) thanks to the various media deals they struck at the time.

They also got $100,000 (€75,723) worth of wedding presents from a registry, which, until now, they've been deciding what to do with.

Both Kim and Kris are keeping the presents but, instead, Kim is donating twice their value to the Dream Foundation, she says in a letter obtained by TMZ.

This way, her friends will not have to worry about what to do with their returned present, while she also gets to do a good deed.

“I would like to thank you for your generous and thoughtful wedding gift,” Kim writes to her guests.

“It has taken me some time to pull everything together but I wanted to let you know that the money for every gift received by me at my wedding has been donated to the Dream Foundation,” she says.

The letter also contains a confirmation of the donation from the Dream Foundation, one that Kim has been working with for years.

“With gratitude in our hearts, we share with you that Kim Kardashian has made a donation to Dream Foundation in honor of your generous wedding gift,” the foundation says.

It adds that money is a much better donation than a vase or blender would have been because, this way, someone suffering from a terminal illness will get to see one dream come true.

Another thing that Kim probably got to keep from her short-lived, intensely mediated and controversial marriage is the massive $2 million (€1.45 million) engagement diamond ring, which Kris bought for her.
