14 DAY TRIAL // Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are so taken with everything-Paris that they’ve already talked to the contractor working on their new Bel Air mansion to have a replica of the Wall of Mirrors at the Versailles Palace put in.
Right now, Kim and Kanye, and their daughter North (aka Nori) are living with Kim’s mother, Kris Jenner. As fans of their E! reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians must know, this has caused plenty of friction between the two women.
In fact, on the latest episode of the series, Kris almost blew a fuse after speaking with the contractor and learning that it would be another good while until the mansion can be lived in.
Part of the reason for the delay could be Kim and Kanye’s eccentric idea of making said mirror replica, insiders close to the couple reveal for Radar Online.
“Kim and Kanye just loved the Hall of Mirrors when they visited Versailles. They both took a lot of pictures and decided they wanted a similar look in their new house. Their contractors have been put through their paces with constant redesign and new ideas,” says a spy.
“It’s actually Kanye who keeps changing his mind on the design and decor of the house, but they both agree on one thing – the mirrors! The hunt is on to find antique mirrors. Kanye’s decorators are scouring archives in antique shops all over the world, focusing on the Venice, Italy area, which is renowned for mirrors,” the source continues.
It’s not just the couple’s obsession with all these Parisian that’s behind this decision, says another source. Vanity is probably the biggest motivator.
“These two love to look at themselves in the mirror, so why not have it installed to look like it was directly from the Palace?,” the spy laughs.
While work on their house is progressing, albeit too slowly, Kim and Kanye are planning a May wedding – probably in Paris, you guessed it.
