Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Confirm Pregnancy

And they said they wouldn’t last: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are expecting their first child together. It’s official this time – because rumors of a possible bun in the oven had been making the rounds even before Christmas.

Below, embedded at the end of this article, is confirmation coming straight from Kanye in a concert in Atlantic City on Sunday, when he chose to break the news to the world in a way only he could have: by singing about it.

“God brought us a whole new plan, baby. ‘Cause now you’re having my baby,” Kanye sang as the crowd cheered.

Before going into the next song, he asked, “Can we make some noise for my baby mama right quick?” This part isn’t included in the vid.

If this is not enough to convince you that the biggest reality star of our times is getting ready for motherhood, here’s more from Kim herself.

“It’s true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo,” she wrote on her official website the very next day.

It’s surprising to note that, unlike her sister Kourtney, Kim did not do the whole “I’m pregnant, here’s my baby bump!” photoshoot and interview with a celebrity magazine, opting instead to go low-key for once.

And, speaking of making a profit and reality television, TMZ reports that Kim and Kanye have no intention of capitalizing on their child by making her pregnancy into another reality special.

Apparently, Kim has learned her lesson with her failed, 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries and is really determined to keep her relationship with the rapper as private as possible.
