Reality star talks about the challenges of dressing to flatter her pregnancy curves

Kim Kardashian is a successful reality star and businesswoman but, now that she’s pregnant with her first child by rapper Kanye West, she’s looking to turn the experience into one that will help other expectant mommies as well: so she’s dishing fashion advice on her blog.

Though she’s made plenty of headlines these past few weeks because of her poor fashion choices, Kim is determined to learn how to dress for her body now that she’s pregnant.

In her first blog on the topic, the curvalicious reality star admits that she’s having some problems because her body is changing and she can’t dress to show off the baby bump yet.

“So I wanted to do a mommy blog today to talk about fashion during the early stages of a pregnancy. For me, I’ve found that I’ve gained inches and I’ve gotten wider but my belly hasn’t popped yet, so I struggle finding things that don’t make me look heavy,” Kim writes.

Her bump doesn’t always show, but the weight she’s already gained is there everyday. This makes the challenge of finding something flattering to wear even bigger.

“At this stage I guess I’m more focused on concealing the weight gain than I am about dressing the bump, just because it hasn’t popped yet,” Kim admits.

“My new J Brand maternity jeans are a blessing because they make me feel slim and comfortable, and I’m excited to try other looks! I heard Jet makes some amazing maternity jeans too. Once I start showing more I’ll be all about showing off my bump, and I can’t wait!” she gushes.

Kim has never made a secret of how much she loves playing dress up (after all, we’re talking here about someone who spends her entire life in the public eye, and changes up to several outfits a day because of it) and, now that she’s pregnant, she gets to have even more fun with it.

In the same blog post, Kim promises she will do her best to keep her fans (the “Dolls”) up to speed with everything, as her pregnancy progresses.

“I want to share my pregnancy fashion tips with other expecting moms out there and I know it’s different for everyone; some women start showing sooner, others don’t start showing until later, but I want to share my own personal experiences with you guys along the way,” she writes.
