Kim Kardashian gets so much media attention on a regular basis that you’d think you would never be able to walk past her down the street and not recognize her. And you’re probably right but, if an entire team of stylists and makeup artists have their say, she too can be made to look almost ordinary.

Always the glamazon, Kim never leaves the house without making sure first that everything about her appearance, from her clothes and accessories, to her hair and makeup, are in perfect order. It’s only natural for that to happen because she makes a very good living off her image.

Producers behind Oxygen’s new series Celebrities Undercover wanted to see for themselves just how much they could transform Kim Kardashian until she looked nothing like her previous self and whether they could even make some of her biggest fans not be able to recognize her.

A preview video of their efforts is embedded below: you can see Kim got full-face prosthetics, a new denture that was less perfect than her own, a wig, and so much more.

The GIF embedded right under the video shows a before-and-after look at Kim: be honest, would you be able to say she’s the most famous reality star of all times if you saw this curly-haired, bespectacled woman on a crowded street?

For the show, Kim went by the name of Cynthia and also debuted a brand new accent, to make recognizing her even more difficult. Mission accomplished.

Celebrities Undercover premiered on March 18 and is executive produced by Wendy Williams, who also underwent one such makeunder for fun. In a statement released a few days ago, the network described the show as tons of fun, with Williams adding that all their celebrity guests went the extra mile to become the fictional personas they were presented with.

“Celebrities Undercover is a comedic ride that will resonate with Oxygen’s modern young female audience. Executive Producer Wendy Williams brings her signature spontaneity and energy to the series,” Oxygen says.

Useless to say, for any new show to get Kim Kardashian on board from the start translates into loads of exposure in the press, so Williams’ efforts will probably pay off when the episode airs. Meanwhile, we have only this juicy teaser to keep us going – and the observation that, even with a makeunder, Kim is still quite gorgeous, right?
