Kim Kardashian will soon be a divorcée but that's not to say she's losing all faith in love. In fact, her split from Kris Humphries may actually have led her into the arms of her one true love, her ex, Reggie Bush, it has emerged. The latest issue of
Life & Style magazine claims that the reality star has been in contact with her ex and that things are definitely heading towards a reunion.
Admittedly, the two started talking again (not in person, though, yet) after she announced she was divorcing her husband of 72 days, with Reggie offering her a much-needed shoulder to cry on.
Reggie knew from the start that Kim's romance with the basketball star wouldn't last, which is why he stood idly on the side, waiting for it to blow over.
Now, he's ready to sweep in and win over her heart again, the celebrity mag says. He's already laid the foundation for his new (but not quite) conquest.
“Reggie reached out to Kim via text shortly after she announced she was filing for divorce to make sure she was okay,” a “Kardashian family friend” says for the publication.
“They’ve stayed in touch ever since, texting and talking. Kim was Reggie’s first love. He knows she’s hurting right now, but when the time is right, he’ll swoop in and take care of her,” the insider further says.
The two have been talking a lot in recent weeks, via text, phone or Skype, and all signs are pointing to a future reconciliation.
Not only is Reggie Kim's true love but he's also proving a very valuable friend to her in these times of need, the report further argues.
“He’s concerned about her; he’s making sure she’s holding it together. Reggie always knew that it wasn’t going to work [between Kim and Kris], so he’s been waiting and watching,” says the insider.
As of now, word online has it that Kris Humphries
doesn't want to grant Kim the divorce, asking instead for an annulment of the marriage. This could be the reason why Kim and Reggie haven't been spotted together in public yet, word has it.
