Kim Kardashian says she’s honored to have been included in Eminem’s “We Made You” video

Yesterday, MTV premiered the first video from rapper Eminem’s comeback, for the “We Made You” single off “Relapse.” As we informed you, the video marks a return to Eminem’s habit of lampooning celebrities and the celebrity culture as a whole, with Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston, Lindsay Lohan and Kim Kardashian targeted. Of them all, only Kardashian has dared speak about the direct “attack,” branding it funny and quite harmless in a post on her official website.

Kardashian, famous for being the daughter of the late attorney who got O.J. Simpson out of jail and Paris Hilton’s best friend at one point in time, is usually quite open-minded about other people making fun of her or of her public persona, it has often been said. In fact, she is so down to earth and open minded that she did not even find offense with Eminem’s video for “We Made You,” where she’s pictured with a posterior that can potentially kill a man and, towards the end, being tossed in a paper shredder head first.

“I just saw Eminem’s new video for ‘We Made You’ and he totally spoofs me!! It was a total surprise to me because I had no idea he was going to talk about me in the song.” Kim writes on her blog. “I think this video is so funny! I am a huge Eminem fan and find it flattering that he would rap about me. He’s a bit harsh about some other celebrities, but you just have to let it go and have a sense of humor. Personally, I’m honored.” the star continues by saying.

As Kim’s fans also point out, it could be that she’s trying to take the graceful way out of this situation. Eminem is not a “bit harsh about some other celebrities,” they point out, he’s harsh towards all of them, and specifically towards Kim herself and Jessica Simpson. In this light, the above statement could be just Kardashian’s way of saying something before the tabloid media starts making up stories about how offended she was when she saw that Eminem’s video was spoofing her as a celebrity, it has been noted.

Directed by Joseph Kahn, the “We Made You” video also includes Dr. Dre and 50 Cent, as well as references to a myriad of celebrities of our time, among which John Mayer, Ellen DeGeneres, Britney Spears, Kevin Federline, Bret Michaels, Amy Winehouse and the above-mentioned three.
