Nobody puts Kim Kardashian in the corner, not even Jon Hamm, arguably one of the hottest and talented actors of the day. The reality star has taken to her Twitter to respond to Jon's comments about she and former BFF Paris Hilton are nothing but glamorized “idiots.”

Hamm made the comments in a recent interview with Elle UK, but, unlike Daniel Craig, he only used the Kardashian name as an example of how our culture celebrates stupidity by making stars of people who don't really deserve to be.

As we also noted the other day, Hamm's remark was a critique of our culture and not of Kim directly.

It doesn't matter for her, though: she wants the actor to know that they should always respect each other in the industry, no matter what.

“I just heard about the comment Jon Hamm made about me in an interview. I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life,” Kim says.

“We’re all working hard and we all have to respect one another,” she adds.

She is no exception.

“Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, 'stupid,' is in my opinion careless,” Kim further says.

Of course, Hamm never said that she doesn't work hard for her money. He was rather referring to how she achieved fame in the first place – by “leaking” that infamous home-made tape to the press.

People who do this kind of things, who are famous for the sake of celebrity and nothing more, should never get the attention they received, he seemed to be implying.

“Being a [expletive]-ing idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly. Incuriousness has become cool… It’s celebrated. It doesn’t make sense to me,” the actor said, lamenting the state of our celebrity-centric culture.
