Kim Kardashian makes millions from modeling and various endorsement contracts. As such, she can’t afford to have a skin disease that would make it impossible for her to be photographed – yet this is precisely what she has.

On the latest episode of her reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim breaks down in tears and has a breakdown when she’s told she has psoriasis and that it’s incurable.

As the video below will confirm, the episode, shot earlier this year, sees Kim head out to the dermatologist to check on a rash that has appeared on her legs.

She even tells him that Khloe believes she has ringworm – but she’s in for a worse piece of news.

The dermatologist breaks it to her: she has psoriasis, which she inherited from her mother Kris Jenner and that is incurable, but manageable.

Nevertheless, Kim is distraught, thinking that her entire career is about to go down the drain because of the skin disease.

“My career is doing ad campaigns and swimsuit photo shoots. People don’t understand the pressure on me to look perfect,” Kim laments to the specialist.

“When I gain a pound, it’s in the headlines. Imagine what the tabloids would do to me if they saw all these spots?” she says, showing off the red patches on her skin for the camera.

The specialist tries to make her see that not all is lost as she imagines: the condition can be managed. She can also do her part by trying to slow down and take better care of herself in the future.

“It’s just not possible,” Kim replies bluntly.

In the same episode, Kris also tries to make her daughter see that having psoriasis is not the end of the world and definitely not of her career, because lots can be accomplished in post-production and with excellent makeup.
