“I was so bizarre,” says reality star in a recent interview

It's hard to believe by looking at some of the photos that float around on the internet these days, but many consider Kim Kardashian to be a fashion icon. While she does sometimes keep striking out with her revealing outfits and ensembles, the reality star has confessed that she has come a long way since her early days when she used to dress horribly.

Taking into consideration the fact that Kim also has a fashion line out, the Kardashian Kollection, together with sisters Kourtney and Khloe, it would make sense for her to have a keen fashion sense. But in an interview with The Telegraph, she admitted that she now cringes when looking at some of the clothes she used to wear in the past.

Kim doesn't have fond memories about her fashion past

“I look back at photos and I want to cringe when I matched, like, turquoise eye shadow with turquoise sweater with turquoise flowers in my hair. Like, I was so bizarre. If I could go back [in time] I'd just be classic. That's why I try to dress my daughter classic so she can look back at her baby pictures when she's older and know that she was dressed so simple and cute,” said Kim to the publication.

Kim seems to suggest that her current style is more conservative and that it went down from her “over the top” days when she was all about capturing attention. But the fact of the matter is that she is still trying to capture attention these days.

Kim is now eager to pass on her fashion sense to her daughter North

Apart from her often revealing outfits, Kim insists on dressing her infant daughter North in matching outfits, which isn't always the best idea. For example, when she stepped out with her husband at the Paris Fashion Week last month, Kim insisted to dress up Nori in an outfit similar to her see-through top despite the cold weather.

The rest of the time, North wears leather pants and leather dresses that may not be the most comfortable, but help her achieve that rock chick image that her mother so desperately wants her to have.

At the present, Kim's fashion sense is still debatable. If some praise her for her innovation when it comes to dressing up, some designers are not convinced that she's indeed the forward-thinking spirit that some in the industry would have us believe. Let's not forget that she's recently been dubbed a “fashion flu” at the same Paris Fashion Week she attended in September.

But if you've missed any of Kim's ensembles, you still have a chance to see them, as the reality star has admitted that she is going to give her daughter North “the key to my wardrobe when she turns 18.”
