Kim Kardashian will reportedly go into the movie industry with the part of Lara Croft in upcoming “Tomb Raider” flick

Producers remain just as decided as ever to have a new Lara Croft movie that would reboot the commercially successful “Tomb Raider” franchise. However, they want to do so without Angelina Jolie, for they feel she is now perceived as too old for the part of the daredevil. Since Megan Fox turned down the part, they seem to have set their mind on none other than Kim Kardashian.

Ongoing reports cited by StarPulse indicate that, indeed, the socialite, fashion designer and television personality, is next in line after Jolie and Fox. Apparently, producers want someone young, hot and very well known for the part and, clearly, Kim comes through on all three points. The fact that her only acting experience includes a couple of television appearances and reality shows seems to matter very little, if one is to believe the rumors.

“Kim Kardashian is reportedly in talks to replace Angelina Jolie in the ‘Tomb Raider’ franchise. Producer Dan Lin revealed last year Jolie would not be reprising her action role for the next installment of the action film because film bosses wanted to cast a younger actress,” StarPulse writes. Of course, at this point, this is nothing but pure speculation and fans of the franchise should hold on expressing their enthusiasm or disapproval until an official announcement is made.

“‘Transformers’ star Megan Fox was said to be in the running for the role but she denied the rumors – and now the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star is the latest name linked to the project. A source tells the Global Grind website, ‘Kim has wanted to play a far more comic-strip version of Lara, which would be shot in 3D and aimed at a teen audience’,” the report further says.

As we also informed you a while back, Fox was, at one point, the strongest contender to be Jolie’s replacement, but she reportedly turned down the part because it would have further invited comparisons with the other heavily-tattooed brunette actress. And, as she put it herself on so many occasions, Megan wants to become a reputed actress all on her own.
