14 DAY TRIAL // Kim Kardashian is one of the biggest marketers of today so it’s no wonder she just landed a new endorsement campaign. Kim and her mother Kris Jenner will front a new campaign for Skechers, called the “Shaping Up with the Kardashians Challenge.”
Of course, fans know that Kim is no stranger to endorsing weight loss or fitness products, since she made quite a few headlines months ago when she got started on the QuickTrim weight loss program.
The results she got were amazing, though she always maintained the weight loss was also due to her intense workout routines. Since she’s now a busier woman, the Skechers offer came just in time, as E! Online reports.
“E! News has learned exclusively that Kim Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner have signed an endorsement deal with Skechers to be the faces of a so-called ‘Shaping Up with the Kardashians’ challenge,” E! writes.
“The mother-daughter fitness challenge, the centerpiece of which will be their working out in Skechers’ patented [backside]-firming Shape-up athletic shoes, will begin in early 2011,” the same report notes.
The new line of athletic shoes is ideal for women who, just like Kim and Kris, are sometimes so busy they don’t know if they can make it to the gym. However, with the new shoe, they won’t have to.
“Shape-ups have already impacted my fitness routine for the better. I am always on-the-move and never know exactly when I can fit in my next workout,” Kim reveals for the same e-zine.
Kim’s mother, Kris, agrees: they are very busy women and they need whatever help they can get in staying in shape, since so much depends on how toned they are and how good they look.
“I am constantly on my feet, running from one appearance to the next, but with Shape-ups, I am always working out, even when I’m working,” Kris says for the aforementioned e-zine.
“Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner are aspirational individuals and the perfect spokespeople to inspire women to maximize their fitness level,” Skechers Fitness Group President Leonard Amato believes, as statement in a statement to E!.
The official announcement of the Skechers-Kardashian collaboration will be made today, Monday.
