Just yesterday, Ashlee Simpson came to sister Jessica’s rescue, by turning the tables on the media outlets who had claimed that the now country singer was fat. Today, Kim Kardashian, well known for her fuller figure, has also spoken up about the same issue, and the conclusion is the same: Jessica’s weight should be no one’s business but her own.

Speaking to People magazine, Kim, whose fame is actually mostly due to the fact that she’s not stick thin as many female celebrities are, says that people have a tendency to cast stones for all the wrong reasons, just because they take one after another. As long as Jessica is healthy, how much she weighs should be of no consequence in terms of how the public appreciates her, she says.

“Call me crazy, but when I saw the picture [of Simpson performing], I was like, ‘Oh my God, Jessica looks hot!’ I actually love the outfit. I think she looks amazing. I love high-waisted jeans, I loved that belt, and her hair looked fabulous. I get that she does look curvier, but to me, there’s nothing wrong it.” socialite extraordinaire Kim Kardashian tells the magazine.

Another reason for which Kim would love it if the world could just stop bad-mouthing Jessica is because she can relate to her case, from one regular-sized woman to another. “It doesn’t really bother me anymore. I love curves. Being super skinny just isn’t attractive to me. When I saw that picture, I knew everyone was going to say something. And I thought, ‘You know what? Leave Jessica alone!’ She’s fabulous, she’s a really sweet girl, and I admire her for putting up with it.” Kardashian further adds.

As mentioned above, yesterday, it was Jessica’s sister, Ashlee, who stepped up to set the record straight on what was being said about the former’s recent weight gain. “Since when did a woman’s weight become newsworthy... I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister’s weight. […] All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms, and just because you’re a celebrity, there shouldn’t be a different standard. Is this something you would say to your wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, or even a friend? I seriously doubt it.” Ashlee wrote on her official MySpace page as a response to all the headlines dealing with Jessica’s fuller figure as if it was a national catastrophe.
