The Australia and New Zealand Internet Awards (ANZIA) recently announced its winners and Dotcom’s Mega is on the list.The awards are a collaboration between auDA and InternetNZ and recognize outstanding achievements in five categories: "Diversity," "Information," "Innovation," "Internet Access and Digital Skills" and "Security and Privacy."
Dotcom’s MEGA LTD won the prize for Privacy, which makes the Internet mogul quite happy.
"I like(sic) to thank the entire #Mega team for your hard work. We have just won an Internet Award for PRIVACY. Well done!" Dotcom wrote on his Twitter account.
Considering Dotcom’s stance on privacy issues, especially since the entire scandal began, his joy is easy to understand.
Other winners include Vodafone Hutchison Australia (Security), Workventures (Internet Access and Digital Skills), Wiki New Zealand (Information), Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association (Diversity), CSIRO and the National Museum of Australia (Innovation).
